There is no getting around it. If your building is two stories or hundreds of feet, you are going to need an elevator. You have to meet the American Disabilities Act codes but what you don’t need is a complicated elevator system to travel just a few feet.

thyssenkrupp is currently putting the finishing touches on the installation of 30 elevators and 2 escalators that will serve 52 floors at River Point, a new office tower located on a prime piece of property overlooking the Chicago River.

thyssenkrupp’s installation of 53 elevators and 88 escalators in Rome’s metro Line C in Italy has won of the "Project of the Year 2016" Award, in the Escalators category presented by international magazine Elevator World.

Our escalators and elevators were installed in all 30 stations of Line C which is located both above and underground.  The Tugela escalators and Latitude elevators will provide comfortable and safe mobility for nearly 50,000 passengers each day. More than 370 tons of material were used in 21 construction sites and involved approximately 50,000 working hours over five years. The experience of thyssenkrupp’s professionals resulted in a the timely installation and testing of each of the 141 systems and also secured the contract to maintain them. A fixed garrison covering the entire range of service will be provided to ensure the safety of thousands of passengers.
