Remember Ironman’s super-cool digital screens inside his ocean-side lair? Well today, thyssenkrupp announced that our service technicians will use HoloLens technology in its elevator service operations worldwide.

There is no getting around it. If your building is two stories or hundreds of feet, you are going to need an elevator. You have to meet the American Disabilities Act codes but what you don’t need is a complicated elevator system to travel just a few feet.

thyssenkrupp is currently putting the finishing touches on the installation of 30 elevators and 2 escalators that will serve 52 floors at River Point, a new office tower located on a prime piece of property overlooking the Chicago River.

 19.5 tons - 39,000 pounds of food was collected and donated by ThyssenKrupp employees across North America in September in recognition of Hunger Awareness Month.  Elevator contributed more than 21,397 pounds to the cause with was the first cross-functional community relations effort of all ThyssenKrupp companies across North America.


ThyssenKrupp Elevator’s manufacturing facility in Middleton, Tennessee is part of the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) Better Building Better Plants Program. The program is a public-private partnership in which leading organizations commit to improve the energy intensity of their building portfolios by at least 20% over 10 years and share their strategies and results with the market. It was developed to drive significant improvement in energy efficiency across the U.S. industrial sector.


As a parent I know what it is like when my son asks for something for his birthday – there is basically nothing I would not do to make sure that I got it for him. So imagine the panic for Natalie Wallace when her son, who likes to pretend his closet is an elevator, asked for an elevator operating panel for his 8th birthday. She did not know where to begin. So she reached out to us for help and sent us an email, about her son Ben. I knew instantly I wanted us to help make his birthday a special one.

Forbes magazine recently mentioned that the ThyssenKrupp Elevator that uses a regenerative drive will contribute to energy saving features in Fraunhofer USA's Center for Sustainable Energy Systems in Boston. ThyssenKrupp Elevator donated the equipment to the project that researches how to make energy technology better and cheaper.
